C&C teams up with P.C.T.I.

The Pakistani Cargo Truck Initiative is a Kansas City collaborative project that will bring a moving art studio to the public in many cities across the US. Craft and Concept will collaborate with P.C.T.I. to make a print shop in the back of the truck equipped with a steel and aluminum etching press. The studio will have everything needed to make and print plates and blocks for the workshops and happenings that P.C.T.I. will be doing all across the country. The truck’s studio will bring art to art viewers and non alike, while showing the process of a studio to people from all walks of life. The truck will also be equipped with a medium size plasma cutter, a welding machine, and other tools Asheer Akram uses to make his art. Participants will be able to see the entire making process through a mobile art studio, while appreciating the value of the truck itself through the craftsmanship and design involved in the community project. Like Craft & Concept, The Pakistani Cargo Truck Initiative is based out of Kansas City Missouri. The press will be used to teach people how to make prints with all the tools and supplies. We are in the process of raising funds for the project and your support is deeply appreciated. To support the project and to learn more about it please visit our kickstarter.
